Brief: 

This article explains how to change your password from off campus. Please note that if you have forgotten your password you will need to create a case for it to be reset.

If you are working from home or studying by distance you may need to change your password remotely.

Remember to update your new password to any device syncing email, otherwise you may be locked out of your account.

Detail: 

If you know your password but want to change it:

Self service

Browse to http://changepassword.op.ac.nz in your browser of choice. We normally recommend Google Chrome but most of the major browsers should be fine

Enter your OP network username and your old (existing password) into the fields as shown. Note that if you do not know your existing password you will not be able to change your password here - please refer to the section next section titled "If you've forgotten your password"

Choose a new password and enter it into both of the fields shown. 

Click submit, and you should be presented with the success page as shown

Remember to update your new password to any device syncing email, otherwise you may be locked out of your account. This inludes iPads, smart watches, phones etc.
